Seed Planting Summer Finale

All Ages

Celebrate the end of our Summer Library Challenge!  Drop in to plant a seed in your own plantable pot to take home, enjoy a small sweet treat and earn a ticket to a bonus summer raffle basket!  All kids who have participated in our summer challenge are invited to join with their family.

Preschool Art

Children are encouraged to join us for a fun preschool art program! Throughout the program they will make a take-home-craft and be able to visit various stations that have been set up to help them explore their senses and creativity.

Kids Book Club

Join us for discussion and fun activities in our Kids Book Club!  This month we will be reading and discussing the Kids Read Across RI book, Conjure Island by Eden Royce. 

All registered participants will get a copy of the book to keep which can be picked up at the Children's Desk.  Please try to read the book before the meeting if possible.

Seed-to-Sprout Coding

Ages 5 - 12

Just like plants grow step-by-step, code grows one block at a time.  Using block coding, kids program robots or animations to navigate farms, sprout seeds, or complete plant-life-cycle challenges.

Gilbert the Party Pig

Meet two talented pigs and watch them perform a series of tricks!  Stick around for pictures after the presentation.

This event is held at Academy Field and is weather dependent.  Please check the website regularly in case any changes have been made due to inclement weather.
