Local Authors at the Library
We are pleased to announce two upcoming programs focused on local authors and their writings!
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, 3:00-4:00 pm, Christie O'Neil Harrison of Pawtucket will be here to speak about and read from her book, Dear Tommy . Christie's brother Tommy had just celebrated his 22nd birthday when an accident took his life and turned their family's world upside-down. Christie wants to share with others how to cope with the loss of a loved one. On Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 6:30pm, South Kingstown resident Christine Carr will be at the library to discuss her book, Mother Daze: Tales from the Imperfect Playground. Christine, mother of three, invites
readers to join her on the refreshingly witty and fun recounting of her own experiences with misplaced toys, temper tantrums and her many years as a physical education teacher. |
A most sincere thank you to the members of the East Greenwich -Warwick Garden Club who will be decorating the library for the holdiay season, December 11.

Please think of the library as we struggle with doing the best we can during these hard financial times. Thank you, as always, for your continued support. |
Dear Friends,
A warm thank you to everyone who marched with us in the Veterans Day Parade!
We hope that this season finds you all happy and healthy. Whilst you're out and about on the milk and bread runs, don't forget to stop in at the library for some mental sustenance as well; we have plenty of offerings to help combat those snowbound woes -- endless supplies of books, magazines, movies and whatnot to keep you distracted on those days when the weather is wearying and the outside is off limits. And for those sick-at-home, ask someone to drop off your favorite library entertainment the next time they stop by with some hot soup or a box of tissues.
Sincerely, Karen Taylor
Library Director
